Chief Operating Officer / Director of Planning & Design
Dave offers over thirty years experience of award-winning Architectural Design, in addition to extensive experience serving as Project Manager / Principal-in-Charge for major projects. Dave oversees and coordinates the activities of all personnel within the office engaged in Planning, Architectural Design and Interior Design, and he has been directly responsible for the Architectural Design of many of W2A’s major and successful projects. He also offers extensive expertise in master planning, facilities planning, feasibility studies, space planning and furnishings specifications for educational, municipal, corporate, industrial and institutional facilities. Dave joined W2A in 1973 and has been a Principal since 1987. Prior to joining W2A, Dave held design positions with nationally-known firms in Cambridge, MA and Houston, TX. Dave has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University. He is certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional.

KENNETH R. ZIMMERMAN, PE, LEED AP
Principal
Executive Vice President / Director of Engineering
A Principal of W2A and a member of the firm for over twenty-five years, Ken is responsible for the management of W2A’s in-house engineering team, encompassing the HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, fire protection, telecommunications and security disciplines. W2A’s in-house engineers and systems designers all work directly under Ken’s supervision. Ken provides systems analysis and selection, quality control of drawings and specifications, cost estimate verification, and project scheduling. He joined W2A in 1980 and has been a Principal since 1988. Ken has a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. He is certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional.
