FREDERICK “RICK” BACHL, AIA

President / Chief Executive Officer

‘Rick is responsible for overall management of W2A, including project scheduling and quality control for all projects. ‘Rick also serves as Principal-in-Charge for major W2A projects. He has been a W2A Principal since 1979 and was named President / CEO in 1998. During more than thirty-five years at W2A, ‘Rick has served as in every capacity of project development, including design, production, project management and as Principal-in-Charge. He has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological Institute, and is a registered architect in nine states.


DAVID R. DRAKE, AIA, LEED AP
Principal
Chief Operating Officer / Director of Planning & Design

Dave offers over thirty years experience of award-winning Architectural Design, in addition to extensive experience serving as Project Manager / Principal-in-Charge for major projects. Dave oversees and coordinates the activities of all personnel within the office engaged in Planning, Architectural Design and Interior Design, and he has been directly responsible for the Architectural Design of many of W2A’s major and successful projects. He also offers extensive expertise in master planning, facilities planning, feasibility studies, space planning and furnishings specifications for educational, municipal, corporate, industrial and institutional facilities. Dave joined W2A in 1973 and has been a Principal since 1987. Prior to joining W2A, Dave held design positions with nationally-known firms in Cambridge, MA and Houston, TX. Dave has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University. He is certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional.



GLENN E. LICHTENWALNER, AIA
Principal
Executive Vice President / Chief Architect

Glenn serves as Principal-in-Charge for selected W2A projects and is also W2A’s Chief Architect. He is responsible for the management and administration of the architectural staff. Glenn has over twenty years of professional experience in a wide range of building types including religious, educational, corporate, industrial, institutional, and healthcare facilities. He joined W2A in 1995 and was named a Principal and has been a Principal since 2003. Glenn has a Bachelor of Architecture from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Catholic University.



KENNETH R. ZIMMERMAN, PE, LEED AP
Principal
Executive Vice President / Director of Engineering

A Principal of W2A and a member of the firm for over twenty-five years, Ken is responsible for the management of W2A’s in-house engineering team, encompassing the HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, fire protection, telecommunications and security disciplines. W2A’s in-house engineers and systems designers all work directly under Ken’s supervision. Ken provides systems analysis and selection, quality control of drawings and specifications, cost estimate verification, and project scheduling. He joined W2A in 1980 and has been a Principal since 1988. Ken has a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. He is certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional.
